In order to live a healthy life and to ensure that our quality of life remains high, it is very important for the organs and systems in the body to function properly. Even the smallest problem in one of the interconnected body system organs negatively affects the proper functioning of the other organs. The ear, nose and throat are among the cornerstones of these system elements.

The department of “Otorhinolaryngology”, commonly known as Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), is a health field that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders occurring in the head, neck, ear, nose and throat. Apart from basic diseases such as headache, chronic cold, sinusitis, sore throat, tinnitus, discharge, inflammation and snoring, mass detection in the head and neck region, thyroid and parathyroid diseases and tumors, salivary gland diseases and tumors, head and neck tumors (such as larynx, nasal, oral, sinus and skull base tumors…), rhinoplasty and facial aesthetic interventions, treatment of hearing loss and eardrum and all kinds of procedures requiring surgical intervention are within the scope of the ear, nose and throat unit. In addition, special diseases such as tonsils and adenoids, which are usually seen in children and fall within the scope of the ear, nose and throat unit, are also within the scope of treatment.

People from all age groups can apply to the ear, nose and throat unit. After listening to the patient's complaints, ENT specialists first apply a detailed examination and endoscopic evaluation along with a series of tests and analyzes in order to make a diagnosis. As a result of the tests performed, the treatment method is determined according to the severity of the disease. While the treatment is performed directly by the ear, nose and throat unit specialists, the opinions of specialists in different fields are also used depending on the course of the disease.

In addition to new patients, patients with chronic illnesses in these areas also apply to the unit so that their treatments can be continued in a healthy manner. Especially patients who need to be checked periodically, such as aesthetic interventions that fall within the surgical field of ENT, must undergo specialist examinations at certain intervals. In this way, it is ensured that the rehabilitation process after treatment continues in a healthy manner.
